A second counterfeit website is detected for Afinidad Journal

User Rating:  / 2

I have just received an email from a PhD student in Iran that shared the acceptance letter issued by Afinidad journal, but not the counterfeit website I already announced in my hijacked journal list.

I checked the new website, performed a deep examination, I contacted with the editor of the legitimate journal as well to confirm the new journal hijacking, and my findings are presented as follows:

  • The journal was hijacked by a counterfeit website before, at: http://www.afinidad.org
  • The second counterfeit website for the hijacked journal is detected at: http://www.afinidadjournal.es/
  • The official website of the legitimate journal is "http://www.aiqs.es/catala/afinidad.asp"; however, the editor of journal updated me today with a second authentic website for their journal at: http://www.aiqs.eu . But, the new real website is forwarded to the older website.
  • So far, we have two authentic and two counterfeit websites for the Afinidad journal.

New idea on Afinidad Journal:

I found some key information that links the second fake website of Afinidad journal to other hijacked journal. I am working on the key information I found today; perhaps the hijacker of the new counterfeit website of Afinidad is behind hijacking of some other journals too. I will publish the result of this research if i come to a conclusion.
