The Journal of Technology, published by National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, has been hijacked by cyber-criminals:

I received an email from a researcher in Asia who forwarded the call-for-paper he had received from the Journal of technology. I checked the website of the journal and I detected a new hijacked journal. In the call for paper I saw they advertised two journals: one Scopus indexed and one journal that is listed in Thomson Reuters master journal list.

I am finalizing my research on the second journal to see whether that journal is also a hijacked journal or not; however, the first journal (Journal of technology), is confirmed by me and the editor in chief of the legitimate journal that has been hijacked.

Below, I present the detail of the fake and real websites of the hijacked journal, a screenshot of the call-for-paper broadcast by cyber-criminals, a screenshot of the first page of the counterfeit website, and the response the editor-in-chief of the legitimate journal sent me in reply to my report:

Counterfeit website of hijacked journal: http://www.jotechno.com/

Authentic website of the legitimate journal: http://jot.ntust.edu.tw/

The image below shows a screenshot of the call-for-paper broadcasted by cybercriminals behind the counterfeit website
